Showers... not just for girls

Dave's office pals are amazing- and decided to pull together a "non-shower" for Dave this week. About 100 of his closest friends gathered to celebrate with him, providing yet another excuse to eat cake! Here are a few shots taken at this surprise event.

My pal Jen Joseph stayed on the phone with me for over an hour tonight to tell me what sort of "stuff" I really do (or more appropriately, DON'T) need to bring to the hospital. This review was at my request, after she had gotten home from work, fed the family and tended to 2 kids under 3.

She also went over some more advanced concepts like, be sure your kid sleeps, feed her when she's hungry, etc. Not sure why the details of these things seem so complex, but... And it sounds like there will be many more of these discussions to come. (I'll try to lay off of the 3AM calls.)

With all of the great outfits shared from Meredith & Jen, I can't wait for all of the fashion shots of Sprout!

Nursery Drapes

Dave picked the colors for the nursery. Walls are a light brown and going for a raspberry pink accent. He and his mom made the valence and drapes a few weeks back and Dave hung them this weekend.

April 16th- It's official!

We got some news from the doctor last week that because Sprout is breech (and clearly not moving- any ideas where the stubborness is coming from?) that a c-section is required.

I'm just glad that her birthday won't be on tax day...

PreSprout Outings

So, my belly hits the seat when I do spin classes at the gym, but I'm going to keep going as long as I can. Dave & I attended a "birthing class" at the doctor's office last week, and thankfully our pals Gina & John met up with us at Der Dutchman (amish food place) to calm my nerves after. For those of you familiar with Der Dutchman, you can imagine that a plate of mashed potatoes and chicken really took care of any anxiety.
